Joseph Grant

Co-founder

Joseph Grant brings a strong foundation in operations, finance, design, and construction to the team. With years of experience in commercial real estate development and construction, he has successfully overseen projects of all sizes from initial underwriting to delivery, with a focus on sustainability throughout. His hands-on approach ensures that our innovative solar energy systems are not only efficiently implemented, but also seamlessly incorporated into the architectural and structural aesthetic of each project.

Joseph’s deep knowledge of building technology, combined with his financial acumen, allows the value proposition of the Solarislate™ system to be clearly portrayed to all stakeholders. He is involved in driving operational efficiency, and design conformity as Solarislate™ scales to dominate the United States solar roof marke.

Prior to co-founding Solarislate™, Joseph held key roles as Project Manager and Development manager at several national real estate firms, and has worked on projects across the country. He holds a Masters in Construction Management from the University of Washington, a Masters in International Economics from Sciences-Po Paris, and a Bachelors in Commerce from McGill University. Outside of work, he is an avid skier, traveler, and father of a Pomeranian named Zeus.

Jakob Von Rosen Imig

Jakob von Rosen Imig is a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep passion for renewable energy and sustainable development. With extensive experience in the solar energy sector, Jakob has launched and managed several successful ventures focused on innovative solar solutions. His work with leading companies such as SolarCity, Vivint Solar, and SunRun has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry, particularly in the commercial sector, where he has served as a consultant for developers in Washington and California.

Jakob has led numerous solar projects across the United States, including several that leverage his provisional patent for a non-penetrative, non-ballasted installation process. This innovative approach ensures more efficient, cost-effective solar installations that maintain the structural integrity of buildings.

As the lead for project-related and technical aspects at Solarislate™, Jakob oversees product development and serves as the primary point of contact for installers and suppliers. His technical expertise and industry connections ensure that every project is executed smoothly, with cutting-edge solutions tailored to meet the needs of each client.
